Ministry Of Home Affairs have released the notification for the direct recruitment into Intelligence Bureau for the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer(ACIO) for the recruitment year 2025 with the total vacancy of 3717.
Classification of this job: General Central Service Group “C” (Non Gazetted, Non Ministerial)
Pay Scale for this job post is Level 7(Rs. 44900-142400) in the pay matrix plus central government allowances.
Note: The candidates who clears the exam and joins the services will get the 20% of basic pay to other government allowance as special security allowance.

This post of ACIO in Intelligence Bureau is a All India Transfer post the candidates will have to work anywhere in India.
The examination of ACIO Intelligence Bureau is a three tier process:
Tier 1 Exam:
100 Objective Type Questions which will be Multiple Choice in nature divided into 5 Parts containing 20 Questions of 1 marks each:
Current Affairs, General Studies, Numerical Aptitude, Reasoning/logical aptitude And English.
Negative marking will be 1/4th of each wrong answer marked.
Tier 2 of the examination:
This phase of the examination will be descriptive in nature the total marks allotted for the tier 2 will be 50 marks.
Essay 20 Marks, English Comprehension 10 Marks And long answer type questions (2 Questions of 10 marks each on current affairs, Economics and social-political issues) 20 marks.
Tier 3:Will be the interview phase.
Selection of the candidates:
There shall be cut-off marks for the tier 1 exam out of 100
For UR the cutoff marks shall be:35
For OBC the cutoff marks shall be:34
For OBC the cutoff marks shall be:33
For EWS the cutoff marks shall be:35
All Ex-Servicemen would be treated in their own category viz. UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS
For going onto the phase 2 or Tier II of the examination the candidates need to clear the above minimum cutoffs after which 10 times the number of vacancies candidates will be called for the next phase which is Tier II of the examination.
For going onto the next phase of the examination which is the last phase Tier III the interview phase candidates will be called 5 times the number of vacancies candidates need to clear the minimum cutoff set by the organization which is 33% of the phase II, Phase II is of 50 Marks candidates needs to get at least 17 Marks for sailing into the interview.
Final Selection of the candidates shall be made after the character and antecedent verification and medical examination.
Please note in case of Tie of the marks for the candidate following rule shall be implemented for calculating the marks:
Tie will be resolved:
Case 1: Marks in Tier 3
Case 2: Marks in Tier 2
Case 3: Normalized marks in Tier 1
Case 4: Date of Birth with the candidates who is older shall be placed higher.
Case 5: Alphabetical order of names starting with first name.

All candidates: Recruitment processing fees Rs. 550/-
Male candidates of UR,EWS And OBC categories: Examination fees Rs. 100/- in addition to the recruitment fees of Rs. 550/- total fee payable will be Rs. 650/-
Note:
All SC/ST, Female candidates and ex servicemen candidates will be exempted from the application fees of Rs. 100/- however they have to pay Rs. 550/-
